the problem adversely affects your performance at work, school, or in your personal life;
coping with the problem requires you to change your attitude toward life, or
develop destructive coping behaviours such as the use of recreational or illicit substances, or the over use of prescription medication.

Perhaps you feel overburdened with too many responsibilities or issues, unable to cope, take a break, or unable to function. Being stressed or overwhelmed can seriously affect your emotional and physical health.

Often, this physical symptom is associated with or results from mental health difficulties and can signal depression. Sleeping more than usual or having trouble getting out of bed can be symptoms of fatigue.

Anger is a natural emotion that we all feel at times, and passing rage isn't necessarily harmful. However, when these feelings don't pass, are extreme or escalate to violence or other harmful behaviors, it is recommended that you seek support.

It is common for people who suffer from agoraphobia to fear being trapped in places where they could suffer a panic attack. The inability to leave one's home poses a serious dilemma to many individuals.

We all worry about things from time to time, which is normal. However, if worry dominates your life and causes physical symptoms, then therapy is likely to help you.

Having a lack of interest in day-to-day activities, social events, yourself, or even life itself may be an indication of depression or anxiety-related mental health concerns.

We all feel hopeless from time to time, especially following a difficult period. However, feelings of hopelessness, depression, or a feeling that life is meaningless and there is no future are indications of mental illness. The longer it persists, the greater the risk of suicidal ideation.

Having the opportunity to spend at least some time alone is beneficial to many people. Individuals who are introverted may require more time alone than those who are extraverted. However, if you feel stressed or fearful of being around other people, psychotherapy can help you understand and overcome these feelings.
